I've been trying to paint this scene for at least 4 years but this is the first time I've ever finished it to my satisfaction. I guess watching hours of those FZD School videos really has helped. A HUGE thanks to 
and her Autodesk challenge for finally giving me the drive to do this thing.
This city is hidden away in the depths of San Francisco bay and plays a big part in the webcomic I've been developing for the last 7 or 8 years. The beastie is a Leviathan. Most of my inspiration for the sorcerers in the story is based on Celtic/Nordic art and culture.
(And for the last time, "no, it's not Otoh Gunga." Jeeze. At least a dozen friends leaned over my shoulder and asked me that while I was working. You guys are incorrigible.)
